Maintaining materials for extruders and properly handling all inventories. Independently be able to operate one extrusion line.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assists Operator in the operation of blown film extruders </li><li>Assists in the set-up of production runs and roll changes </li><li>Performs quality checks visually and by using various measurement tools to ensure overall quality per product requirements </li><li>Maintains materials for the extruders </li><li>Completes production reporting accurately </li><li>Accurately labels completed rolls and other inventories </li><li>Operates and maintains forklift and material handling equipment safely </li><li>Exercises good manufacturing practices when using or handling inventories </li><li>Operates core cutting machine and palletizing equipment </li><li>Maintains an organized, clean, and safe department </li><li>Notifies Lead or Manager of machine/material related problems </li><li>Acquires knowledge and skills of Extruder Operator position </li><li>Takes direction well and communicates effectively with others to ensure an efficient and positive work environment </li><li>Attends meetings and safety trainings, as required </li><li>Adheres to all company safety rules and guidelines </li><li>Is aware of the company quality policy and understands how the job relates to it </li><li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned subject to reasonable accommodations </li><li>Ability to utilize basic Microsoft platforms </li></ul> <p>Education and/or Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred </li><li>One year experience in a manufacturing setting </li></ul> <p>Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Time Management </li><li>Collaboration / Team Player </li><li>Reading and Writing </li><li>Problem Solving </li><li>Ability to climb several flights of stairs and work at high elevations </li><li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. </li><li>Ability to follow directions </li><li>Work safely and efficiently with minimum supervision. </li><li>Ability to wear personal protective equipment, such as but not limited to, safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, gloves </li><li>Ability to report to work on different shifts for training or production needs </li><li>Ability to work overtime as required. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with team members and contribute positively to an engaging and positive work environment. </li><li>Exceptional attendance and work ethic </li><li>Exhibit flexibility, reliability, and a mutual respect for fellow employees </li></ul> <p>#sharp1</p>
