As a CNC Crew Leader, you will be expected to provide direction and leadership to your team on a variety of tasks. You will work closely with your supervisor to define the daily, weekly and monthly goals and ensure your team is meeting expectations. You will ensure the team has all the necessary training, tools and resources to accomplish their assigned tasks.</p> <p>While this is an exciting opportunity for professional growth, it is not meant for everyone! Being a crew leader is difficult. You will have the responsibility to observe, correct, coach, discipline, work on the line and make some very difficult decisions. You will respond to difficult situations. You will also have the pleasure of watching your team grow, develop and hopefully mentor the next crew leader. You will find the support of your Supervisor, Manager and HR to help make you successful!</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position is responsible for leading the CNC team and operating the CNC machines. The position requires advanced computer skills and the ability to learn to use the programs for the machine. Some basic mechanical skill arerequired for maintaining the equipment and making routine changes to cutters, markers, etc. Strong communication skills and high attention to detail.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required to satisfactorily perform each essential duty:</p> <ul> <li>Analyze system (Business Central "BC") requirements and ensure team accomplishes daily production planning. Responsible to ensure completions in BC are done correctly; </li><li>Experience working on a Robot/CNC machine is required; </li><li>Working knowledge of safe wood working techniques and tooling; </li><li>Responsible for maintaining inventory in their assigned departments and regular audits will be performed by the supervisor to ensure inventory is properly maintained; </li><li>Facilitate inventory audits with department supervisors; </li><li>Provide support with processing orders with purchasing department; </li><li>Train new employees; </li><li>Coach, mentor and provide leadership to employees; Crew leads are responsible for the growth development, corrective actions and reviews of the employees within their department with support of supervisor and HR as needed; </li><li>Maintain and follow all safety guidelines/procedures/activities throughout the production floor. Participate in all safety meetings/trainings applicable; </li><li>Maintenance team tools to ensure operational and all safety protocols are met; </li><li>Adapt effectively and efficiently to production changes and work with team to do the same; </li><li>Initiative to improve production performance while maintaining a high level of performance without compromising the quality of our products; </li><li>Participate in interviewing, evaluating and making a recommendation on candidates; </li><li>Promote a positive environment by motivating team. </li><li>Good verbal communication skills; </li><li>Able to adapt to changing needs and priorities; </li><li>Able to sit, stand, reach and carry as needed for a full shift (8 -10 hours); </li><li>Must be able to lift, carry up to a maximum of 50 lbs; </li><li>Must be self-motivated and have a positive, solution-seeking attitude; </li><li>Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment; </li><li>Able to commit to a consistent work schedule with good attendance; </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Salary Range:</p> <p>CNC Lead $32 - 39/hour + bonuses</p> <p>Work Schedule:</p> <p>This is a Monday to Friday position.
