<p>The manager of Cell Culture Facility (CCF) coordinates delivery of outstanding services to support mammalian cell culture in Fox Chase Cancer Center (FCCC) laboratories. The manager will assure CCF adheres to rigorous standard operating procedures to provide the highest quality reagents and technical services. Requires extensive experience in cell culture techniques, including knowledge of culturing mouse embryonic stem cells, culturing human and mouse primary cells in 2D and 3D (including organoids), immortalizating cells, generating B cell hybridomas to make monoclonal antibodies, bioreactor culturing to prepare high-titer monoclonal antibody supernatants, preparating culture media and additives, propagating cells, and liquid nitrogen banking. The manager will be responsible for supervising/training CCF staff, interfacing directly with research investigators and their staff, maintaining current strong reputation of CCF, coordinating purchases from vendors, maintaining facility equipment, complying with technology transfer agreements, shipping materials to outside researchers, and organizing monthly staff meetings. The manager will also collaborate with members of other FCCC core facilities and coordinate provision of materials and services to scientists at Temple University and the Wistar Institute.</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Bachelors Degree : molecular biology, pathology, cell biology or related scientific discipline (Required)</p> <p>Doctorate Degree : molecular biology, pathology, cell biology or related scientific discipline (Preferred)</p> <p>Masters Degree : molecular biology, pathology, cell biology or related scientific discipline (Preferred)</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>3 Years experience in management, including oversight of scientific staff (Required)</p> <p>5 Years experience and knowledge of mammalian cell biology research and cell culture techniques (Required)</p> <p>_ '335194</p>
