The Green River Correctional Complex is hiring a Corrections Unit Administrator II who will administer and supervise the assigned units within the institution.</p> <p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and direct the work of security staff. </li><li>Supervise and direct the work of Corrections Unit Administrator I & Classification and Treatment Officers. </li><li>Supervise the maintenance of the Unit and reviews and evaluates all assigned work. </li><li>Serve as the chairperson on Institutional committees. </li><li>Act as assigned Duty Officer on a rotating basis. </li><li>Investigate and report on incidents, accidents and complaints between inmates and staff. </li><li>Assist in the development of policy and procedure. </li></ul> <p>The ideal candidate for this job will show excellent leadership and communication skills. They should have the ability to make sound decisions under pressure, think creatively, pay close attention to detail and show teamwork and initiative.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have three years of experience in corrections, law enforcement, criminal justice, or social work dealing with the rehabilitation of offenders. One year of the required experience must include supervisory experience in a custodial setting.</p> <p>Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A master's degree in corrections, criminal justice, law enforcement, social work, sociology, counseling and guidance or related field will substitute for one year of the non-supervisory experience.</p> <p>Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional experience in corrections, law enforcement, criminal justice, or social work dealing with the rehabilitation of offenders will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.</p> <p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE</p> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>Work is generally performed within a correctional institution.
