<p>Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking Network Controllers to support a major federal defense communications program responsible for operating and securing the primary IT network used across all U.S. military branches.</p> <p>This role supports global network operations (24/7) within a large, stable, long-term contract environment.</p> <p>Positions are available in the Scott AFB area and Hill AFB area.</p> <p>The Network Controller will provide enterprise-level monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response across one of the world's largest and most complex defense communication networks, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity for military and federal mission partners.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Monitor global network infrastructure, including routers, switches, crypto devices, voice, and video systems. </li><li>Respond to alarms, incidents, and service disruptions within defined SLAs. </li><li>Perform initial triage and escalate technical issues to higher-tier teams as needed. </li><li>Log actions and resolutions in enterprise ticketing and reporting systems. </li><li>Collaborate with internal teams and external mission partners to resolve network events. </li><li>Support continuous 24/7/365 operations through rotating 8-hour shift schedules. </li><li>Maintain compliance with federal security, configuration, and operational requirements. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Active Secret Clearance (some positions require Top Secret). </li><li>DoD 8570 IAT II certification (Security+ CE) - required prior to start. </li><li>0-2 years for entry-level; 3-5 years for mid-level; 5-7+ years for senior. </li><li>Experience with routers, switches, crypto equipment, voice/video technologies. </li><li>Familiarity with Cisco and Juniper platforms. </li><li>Ability to work in a structured 24/7 rotating shift environment. </li><li>Willingness to relocate to one of the supported locations (no relocation assistance provided). </li></ul> <p>Compensation:</p> <p>Hourly Rates (based on experience level):</p> <ul> <li>Entry (0-2 years): $53,000 - $57,000/year </li><li>Mid/Journeyman (3-5 years): $60,000 - $65,000 </li><li>Senior (5-7+ years): $38-40/hr - approx. $79,000 - $84,000 annual </li></ul> <p>Full Benefits Package Includes:</p> <p>PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Paid Maternity Leave, Military Reserve Pay Offset, Sick Leave (as required by law), and additional standard benefits.</p> <p>#LI-SA #LI-Onsite</p> <p>Keywords:</p> <p>Network Controller, Enterprise Network Operations, Defense Communications, Global Network Operations, 24/7 Operations, Secret Clearance, Top Secret, Security+, IAT II, Routers, Switches, Crypto, Voice, Video, Cisco, Juniper, NOC, Incident Response, Network Monitoring, Military Networks, Shift Work, Operations Center</p>
