<p>The Digital Media Department at Utah Valley University is seeking a student audio studio lab assistant!</p> <ul> <li>Mentoring students on the correct use of lab equipment, checking equipment in and out. </li><li>Maintain and properly store equipment. </li><li>Schedule lab or equipment time for the students. </li><li>Work closely with faculty and assist where needed. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li><li>Current UVU student. </li><li>Must have passed digital audio portfolio review. </li><li>Must be enrolled in or have previously passed the Core Recording class. </li><li>Extensive knowledge of the studio complex, patchbays, routing and signal flow of the audio studio. </li><li>Knowledge of the Digital Media classrooms and equipment. </li><li>Strong organizational skills. </li><li>Scheduling experience. </li><li>High level of confidence in soldering, crimping, and building cabling. </li><li>Ability to follow schedules and procedures. </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality of student records. </li><li>Must be proficient in Pro Tools, SSL Duality and Audient Consoles. </li><li>Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for extended period or time.   </li><li>Must be able to move around the classroom to assist students and faculty </li></ul>
