<p>Job Title: Sushi Manager</p> <p>Department: Sushi</p> <p>Reports To: Store Director</p> <p>FLSA Status: Non-Exempt</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>The Sushi Manager coordinates the activities of workers engaged in ordering, processing, and selling products, by performing the duties listed below (other duties may be assigned):</p> <ul> <li>Prepares daily schedule and directs activities of employees. </li><li>Trains or assures in-service training for all employees and documents all training </li><li>Trains employees on all opening and closing procedures for the department. </li><li>Maintains high-profit margin by the approved pre-set budget, which entails, but is not limited to: sales goals, cost of goods, expenses, price changes, and waste management. </li><li>Assures high quality and proper quantity via proper ordering and receiving either through self or other employees. </li><li>Responsible for all employees practicing the same techniques. </li><li>Writes up industrial accidents when they occur during the shift; follows proper procedure both from the company and the SB 198 for reporting, documenting, and investigating employee accidents. </li><li>Handles all customer complaints in such a manner to assure repeat business no matter the complaint. </li><li>Responsible for all employees practicing the same techniques. </li><li>Follows safety work standards and reports any safety hazards to supervisors and/or Store Director. </li><li>Serves customers with a smile and a willing attitude. Assures high sales through establishing relationships with customers to ensure repeat business. </li><li>Follows the employee handbook at all times, especially on service standards and appearance. </li><li>At all times meets and exceeds company standards in food, service, quality, and cleanliness. </li></ul> <p>This job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive list of duties, responsibilities, and requirements. Carries out supervisory responsibilities by the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.</p> <p>Education and/or Experience</p> <p>High School diploma or general education degree (GED); three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p>Mathematical Skills</p> <p>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.</p> <p>Reasoning Ability</p> <p>Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with problems and situations that are unexpected.</p> <p>Knowledge Of English</p> <p>This is a customer service-driven position. The candidate must have the ability to communicate in English.</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand at least eight (8) hours. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. He or she must frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Work occurs in a grocery store environment which includes surfaces that can be wet and slippery, moderate noise levels, and temperature extremes in controlled environments in the cooler and freezer, and depending on location, working outside in all temperatures. There may be exposure to certain allergens and/or chemicals.
