<p>Student Life International Student Director- International Students Office</p> <p>POSITION DETAILS</p> <p>The Student Life International Student Director will report to the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the Student Life International Student Director will be responsible for the following duties:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strategic Enrollment Alignment: Collaborate closely with the Enrollment Management team to ensure international student recruitment and retention efforts support the college's overall enrollment plan, meeting both growth targets and strategic priorities.</p> </li><li> <p>Student Communication and Engagement: Develop and implement proactive communication strategies to keep students informed about immigration updates, deadlines, support services, and visa maintenance, ensuring a seamless student experience.</p> </li><li> <p>International Student Programming: Design and lead innovative programming focused on academic success, cultural exchange, and campus engagement, fostering a strong sense of community and belonging.</p> </li><li> <p>Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations of the International Student Office, including managing a small team and ensuring efficient processing of I-20, F-1, J-1, Curricular Practical Training (CPT), and Optional Practical Training (OPT) requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Compliance and Regulatory Management: Monitor and ensure full compliance with SEVIS and other federal reporting requirements, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and responsiveness.</p> </li><li> <p>Work Authorization Management: Approve and process on-campus work authorizations for international students, providing clear guidance and support as they navigate employment opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Retention and Student Success: Contribute to student retention initiatives by tracking progress, promoting support services, and fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment that supports student well-being and academic achievement.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborative Partnerships: Partner with the Immigrant Student Success Center and other key offices to provide integrated, holistic support for international and immigrant students.</p> </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience required.</p> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Master's degree in academic or appropriate field preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with data and student information systems</p> </li></ul> <p>CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW</p> <p>Directs programs related to international matters involving students, faculty, and staff.</p> <ul> <li>Provides leadership in the development of international student recruiting, orientation, and support programs </li><li>Coordinates college-wide international study and collaboration projects, such as study abroad programs, programs for visiting delegations, and programs involving overseas institutional partners, fee-for-service clients, community organizations, governmental representatives and international organizations </li><li>Creates goals and objectives that reflect Campus strategies; measures and evaluates performance and success </li><li>Performs related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>CUNY TITLE</p> <p>Higher Education Officer</p> <p>FLSA</p> <p>Exempt</p> <p>COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS</p> <p>Salary commensurate with education and experience ($107,789-$124,656)</p> <p>CUNY's benefits contribute significantly to total compensation, supporting health and wellness, financial well-being, and professional development.
