As part of our growing Southeast Transportation team based in Florida, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join us as a Ports & Maritime Principal and Growth Leader. This regional leadership role will support the expansion of our Ports & Maritime practice across the Southeast United States, addressing the increasing demand for innovative, resilient, and sustainable maritime infrastructure.</p> <p>Southeast ports are vital gateways for global trade and coastal resilience. From container terminals and cruise facilities to naval bases and waterfront redevelopment, our team leads transformative projects that shape the future of maritime infrastructure across the region. If you're passionate about driving technical excellence, strategic growth, and regional impact, we invite you to bring your expertise to this pivotal role.</p> <p>This dual-role position balances technical leadership and strategic growth responsibilities across the Southeast region, with a base in Florida.</p> <p>As a Principal:</p> <ul> <li>Lead multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of complex port, maritime, and coastal infrastructure projects throughout Florida and the broader Southeast region. </li><li>Ensure projects meet Jacobs' standards for quality, innovation, and client satisfaction. </li><li>Provide technical guidance in marine structural engineering, coastal resilience, and waterfront development. </li><li>Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture and mentor junior staff. </li><li>Oversee project execution, budget management, and schedule adherence. </li></ul> <p>As a Growth Leader:</p> <ul> <li>Drive business development strategies to expand Jacobs' market share in the Southeast ports and maritime sector, including Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, and Gulf Coast states. </li><li>Cultivate relationships with key regional clients including port authorities, terminal operators, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and private sector stakeholders. </li><li>Lead proposal development, positioning efforts, and strategic teaming with contractors and consultants. </li><li>Collaborate with regional and national market leaders to align technical capabilities with client needs. </li><li>Stay ahead of market trends including sea-level rise, decarbonization, and energy transition to position Jacobs as a leader in sustainable maritime solutions. </li></ul> <p>Here's what you'll need</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Coastal Engineering, or related discipline. </li><li>Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida or eligibility via reciprocity. </li><li>Over 10 years of professional experience in transportation infrastructure, with specialized expertise in ports, maritime, and waterfront development across complex capital improvement programs. </li><li>Over 8 years of proven leadership experience, including managing multidisciplinary teams, developing procurement strategies, engaging clients, and overseeing the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects across the transportation and maritime sectors. </li><li>Strong understanding of industry standards (ASCE, PIANC, UFC, AASHTO). </li><li>Track record of successful business development and proposal leadership. </li><li>Passion for innovation, sustainability, and resilience in maritime engineering. </li></ul> <p>#PortsFL</p> <p>Posted Salary Range: Minimum</p> <p>182,500.00</p> <p>Posted Salary Range: Upper</p> <p>299,500.00</p> <p>Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock.</p> <p>The base salary range for this position is $182,500.00 to $299,500.00.
