<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <p>The Technical College of the Lowcountry seeks an adjunct Hospitality Instructor. This individual will be responsible for preparing lesson plans for classroom instruction, developing program syllabi, goals, and objectives. Evaluating student's progress in attaining goals and objectives. Maintaining program certification requirements as appropriate. Preparing and maintaining all required documentation and administrative reports. Maintaining knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by attending staff development training, workshops, seminars, and conferences. Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training area. Meets with students, staff members, and other educators to discuss students' instructional programs and other issue impacting the progress of students. Manage and submit purchase requests and maintain supplies.</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or Hospitality from a nationally/regionally accredited college or university. Five (5) years of documented/verifiable paid work experience within the past seven (7) years in the Hospitality/Tourism, with at least one (1) year in a management position. Commitment to exhibit excellence and professionalism in the classroom and in the community.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Certified Hospitality Educator, (CHE), certified preferred</p> <p>Teaching/Training experience.</p> <p>Must be ServSafe Manager certified or willing to obtain within the first 3 months of employment.</p> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>The Technical College of the Lowcountry seeks to be the first choice for higher education in South Carolina's Low Country Region.
