<p>Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It's time to build.</p> <p>We are looking for a Wire Harness Technician In summary, you will build production-quality wire harnesses from drawings/BOMs/work orders in a fast prototype and low-volume environment, meeting IPC/WHMA standards and delivery dates.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Build build-to-print harnesses: cut, strip, crimp, solder, braid/sleeve, heat-shrink, basic potting, final terminations. </li><li>Read and follow drawings, schematics, BOMs, work orders, and ECOs; record traceability in ERP/routers. </li><li>Crimp and verify terminals/contacts (TE/AMP, Molex, JST, Amphenol/LEMO, etc.) with specified tooling; document pull tests when required. </li><li>Print/apply labels and heat-shrink markers per print. </li><li>Perform electrical tests: continuity, insulation/hipot, and basic troubleshooting with DMM/cable testers/fixtures. </li><li>Execute rework to spec (e.g., IPC/WHMA-A-620) and support NCMR/MRB containment. </li><li>Maintain 5S/ESD and safety; suggest process and DFM improvements. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>2-5+ years building wire harnesses/cable assemblies in manufacturing or prototyping. </li><li>Ability to read prints/schematics and follow work instructions with minimal supervision. </li><li>Proficiency in crimping and soldering (selective tinning, shields/drain wires, coax/twisted pair). </li><li>Hands-on with tooling: strippers, gauges, pull testers, manual/pneumatic crimpers (Daniels or similar), soldering stations, heat guns. </li><li>Working knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Class 2/3) and familiarity with J-STD-001. </li><li>Strong quality and schedule focus: high first-pass yield and low rework. </li></ul> <p>Bonus Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Current IPC/WHMA-A-620 or J-STD-001 certifications. </li><li>Experience with cable testers (e.g., Cirris) and basic fixture integration. </li><li>Exposure to ECOs/NPI, fast-paced startup environments, and creating/maintaining SOPs. </li><li>Basic comfort with CAD viewers for drawing review and with ERP for traceability. </li><li>Bilingual English/Spanish. </li></ul> <p>The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $30-45 an hour.</p> <p>The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended</p>
