<p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Successful complete of a school speech language pathology assistant program or equivalent. </li><li>Bachelor's Degree </li><li>Licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology </li><li>Experience in school based practice preferred </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Provide speech language services to students Pre-K through grade 12 who have speech and language related disabilities </li><li>Work under the direct supervision of a licensed Speech/Language Pathologist (SLP) </li><li>Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills with students, parents, staff and administration. </li><li>Provide speech and language development services as per the IEP </li><li>Consult and/or co-teach with classroom teachers and recommend communication systems/approaches, which will maximize student growth. </li><li>Attend IEP meetings as required </li><li>Provide narrative progress reports on all pupils on caseload </li><li>Prepares materials and activities for therapy sessions </li><li>Function as part of a team to help our student develop skills for success in everyday life around effective communication. </li><li>Keeps data for program planning and decision making for students. </li><li>Safeguards confidentiality of student records. </li><li>Adheres to established rules, regulations, laws and appropriate ethical standards. </li><li>Demonstrates knowledge of federal, state and local rules, regulations and laws. </li><li>Complies with established lines of authority within the parameters of professional standards. </li><li>Perform other duties relating to program as required. </li><li>Assist classroom teacher and/or special education teacher in implementing accommodations and/or modifications for students requiring such supports. </li></ul> <p>REPORTS TO: Principal/Director of Student Services</p> <p>SALARY: $31.32 per hour - $36.51 per hour</p> <p>ANTICIPATED START DATE: January 5, 2026</p> <p>APPLICATION PROCESS:</p> <p>Submit letter of application to:</p> <p>Nathan Loux, Director of Student Services</p> <p>35 Fox Road</p> <p>Dalton, MA 01226</p> <p>Central Berkshire Regional School District, in accordance with its non-discrimination and zero tolerance policy, does not discriminate in its programs, activities, facilities, employment, or educational opportunities on the basis of race, color, age, disability, sex, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, homelessness, veteran status, or gender identity and does not tolerate any form of discrimination, intimidation, threat, coercion and/or harassment that insults the dignity of others by interfering with their freedom to learn and work.
