<p>Overview</p> <p>An Electrician 2 is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and safety systems in oil and gas production environments.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Run cable tray and install cables </li><li>Install cable glands and work with transit systems </li><li>Install conduit and seals </li><li>Terminate power and control wiring under supervision </li><li>Utilize multi-meter for electrical diagnostics </li><li>Complete all required paperwork as defined by management </li><li>Work alongside technicians, fitters, and helpers to install and repair safety systems </li><li>Read and interpret schematics </li><li>Requisition materials and coordinate with clients </li><li>Prepare proper JSAs for assigned tasks </li><li>Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment </li><li>Coordinate crew changes with the project manager </li><li>Work at heights with fall protection gear and from ladders or scaffolding </li><li>Handle small toolboxes or tool belts while installing and repairing equipment </li><li>Use hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, socket sets, drills, and cutting devices </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or Equivalent </li><li>3+ years of electrical experience preferred </li><li>Working knowledge of oil and gas production operations preferred (training available) </li><li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently without direct supervision </li><li>Physical requirements: Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs, and perform bending and stooping </li><li>Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including the use of a respirator </li><li>Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms </li><li>Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record </li></ul>
