Join our pharmacy team and get hands-on experience supporting both the operational and clinical aspects of medication management in a hospital environment.</p> <p>As a Pharmacy Intern, you'll work under the supervision of licensed clinical pharmacists to help maintain the medication distribution system while building the skills needed for a successful pharmacy career.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Operational Duties (All Interns):</p> <ul> <li> <p>Prepare sterile and non-sterile products in accordance with regulatory standards</p> </li><li> <p>Repackage and label medications for inpatient use</p> </li><li> <p>Restock and maintain automated dispensing cabinets</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with inventory control, including handling of controlled substances</p> </li><li> <p>Support daily drug distribution and delivery systems</p> </li></ul> <p>Clinical Responsibilities (Based on Experience & Education Level):</p> <ul> <li> <p>Document accurate medication histories</p> </li><li> <p>Provide patient education on anticoagulation and heart failure medications</p> </li><li> <p>Support metabolic support coverage on weekends</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in specialty projects and clinical initiatives</p> </li><li> <p>Assist pharmacists in IV-to-PO conversions, renal dosing, anticoagulation monitoring, and pharmacokinetic dosing</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent</p> </li><li> <p>Currently enrolled in a healthcare degree-track program (Pharmacy program preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to lift up to 20 lbs (e.g., to transport medication cases)</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interest in pharmacy operations and clinical practice</p> </li><li> <p>Previous work experience in a healthcare or pharmacy setting is a plus</p> </li></ul> <p>What You'll Gain:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Real-world experience in a high-functioning hospital pharmacy</p> </li><li> <p>Opportunity to develop and apply clinical skills in direct patient care settings</p> </li><li> <p>Mentorship from experienced clinical pharmacists</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure to specialty areas and advanced pharmaceutical care services</p> </li></ul> <p>If you're ready to take your pharmacy education to the next level while making a difference in patient care, we encourage you to apply today!</p>
