The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex Air Force programs, a deep understanding of the DoD 5000 series regulations, and a proven track record in delivering large-scale projects within the DoD environment. The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing a range of projects, ensuring effective coordination across multiple stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of program objectives in alignment with strategic goals.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Program Management: Lead and manage Air Force program efforts, ensuring they meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives in compliance with DoD 5000 series acquisition processes. </li><li>Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact between various Air Force departments, contractors, and external stakeholders. Maintain clear communication on program status, challenges, and requirements. </li><li>Program Planning & Execution: Develop detailed program plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure the timely and efficient execution of all program phases (requirements definition, development, testing, and delivery). </li><li>Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that all program activities adhere to applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. Proactively identify and mitigate program risks, including schedule slippage and cost overruns. </li><li>Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and review program documentation, including Acquisition Strategy, Systems Engineering Plans (SEPs), Program Protection Plans, and other required deliverables. Provide regular reports on program progress and performance to senior leadership. </li><li>Leadership: Provide guidance and direction to program teams, ensuring team members are properly aligned with program goals and delivering high-quality results. Foster a collaborative work environment with internal and external teams. </li><li>Contract Management: Oversee and monitor the execution of contracts related to the program, ensuring contractors meet all deliverables and performance expectations. </li><li>Support Acquisition Milestones: Assist in the preparation for milestone reviews, decision briefings, and program updates in accordance with the DoD 5000 acquisition process. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance, with an investigation current within 5 years or enrolled in Continued Evaluation (CE). </li><li>Education: MA/MS Degree </li><li>Minimum 10+ years of program management experience, with at least 5 years specifically working within a Department of Defense (DoD) setting. Extensive experience managing programs under the DoD 5000 acquisition framework. </li><li>Deep understanding and hands-on experience with DoD 5000 series acquisition processes, including milestone reviews, documentation requirements, and risk management. </li><li>Direct experience supporting Air Force programs and familiarity with Air Force-specific processes, requirements, and stakeholders. </li><li>Proficiency with program management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Earned Value Management Systems). </li><li>Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with senior military officials, government personnel, and contractors. </li><li>Ability to identify complex program issues and develop innovative solutions to ensure program success. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent. </li><li>Experience with DoD contracting processes and familiarity with FAR/DFARS. </li><li>Experience managing Air Force Acquisition Category (ACAT) I or II programs. </li><li>Knowledge of systems engineering, testing, and integration processes. </li></ul> <p>Details:</p> <ul> <li>Job Title: Program Manager III </li><li>Location: Hanscom AFB, MA </li><li>Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI Clearance, with an investigation current within 5 years or enrolled in Continued Evaluation (CE). </li><li>Assignment Type: Full-time, Onsite </li><li>Salary Range: $135,000 - $150,000 per year </li><li>Certification: PMP Certification is highly desired </li></ul>
