<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position is responsible for collection of delinquent accounts as assigned. Responsible for the</p> <p>disposition of repossessed vehicles. Tracking and posting of VSI and GAP claims. Demonstrates</p> <p>teamwork through positive interaction and cooperation with fellow associates, members of</p> <p>management and other branches and departments. Supports and promotes the Credit Union's Vision,</p> <p>Mission and Core Values.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Collects accounts that are potentially delinquent, delinquent or charged to the reserve </li></ul> <p>according to established policies, procedures and collection laws.</p> <ul> <li>Performs processes per established policies and procedures to dispose of vehicles that have </li></ul> <p>been voluntarily or involuntarily repossessed.</p> <ul> <li>Files and monitors VSI and GAP claims </li><li>Partners with insurance companies on total loss vehicles. </li><li>Prepares loan modifications or extensions. </li><li>Adheres to all internal policies and procedures. Maintains compliance with Federal laws and </li></ul> <p>regulations set forth by all regulatory agencies.</p> <ul> <li>Perform such duties as may be required from time to time for the overall management and </li></ul> <p>operation of the Credit Union.</p> <ul> <li>Monitors reporting on paid out loans and processes collateralized loan lien releases where </li></ul> <p>appropriate.</p> <p>Additional Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Serves as a resource and assists in the collection of delinquent accounts that are assigned to </li></ul> <p>other associates.</p> <ul> <li>Assists members with budgeting tools and financial management techniques. </li><li>Participates in Credit Union special projects and initiatives. </li></ul> <p>Educational\/Experience Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Requires education equivalent to a four-year high school education plus some additional postsecondary technical course work. </li><li>Requires a minimum of one year of related experience. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to</p> <p>successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The associate must regularly lift and\/or move 20-35 pounds and occasionally lift and\/or</p> <p>move up to 80 pounds.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Requires complete and thorough knowledge of consumer loan collection practices. </li><li>Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Excellent member service, problem solving, decision-making skills. </li><li>Strong practical knowledge of Credit Union products, services, policies, procedures, and </li></ul> <p>regulatory guidelines.</p> <ul> <li>Requires the ability to maintain organized, accurate, detailed records. </li><li>Must be self-motivated and able to handle confidential information in a professional manner. </li><li>Requires intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Credit Union core processing </li></ul> <p>platform.</p> <p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being</p> <p>performed by individuals assigned to this job.
