Performs routine and emergency repairs on surgical equipment to ensure functionality and safety. Conducts preventative maintenance on assigned equipment according to the designated schedule. Assesses the need for repairs or improvements to the surgical environment and submits work orders accurately and completely. Communicates equipment operation issues to surgery management personnel and recommends repair or replacement. Provides technical support for environmental and biomedical issues in the surgical environment. Participates in training staff on new equipment and troubleshooting techniques. Ensures adherence to local, state, and federal regulations regarding equipment operation and maintenance. Maintains detailed records of equipment maintenance and repairs for auditing purposes. Collaborates with the surgical team to ensure equipment is available and functioning properly for procedures. Identifies and reports environmental safety concerns to the management team.
