<p>Overview We are looking for a capable Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at our Carriage House apartment community. <em>We are offering a one-time $1,000 hiring bonus for this position (paid after 6 months of employment)</em> The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds and perform the duties of the MS in his/her absence. Responsibilities The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor must be able to perform the following tasks: Repair and maintain simple electrical circuits, switches, outlets and lighting fixtures. Service, maintain and trouble shoot HVAC systems. Install and repair carpeting and tile. Repair, install and maintain basic plumbing fixtures such as water heaters, lavatories, toilets, dishwashers. Maintain lawns, grounds, landscaping and parking lots including snow removal. Repair and maintain building exteriors and roofs. Cleaning and housekeeping of common areas and vacant units. Repair and painting of vacant units. Perform emergency repairs. Create and sustain a positive work environment at the community and accomplish the objectives of the Corporate Performance Management program. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training or experience. Demonstrated ability or experience in the maintenance field desirable. Must maintain universal EPA designation/certification. Must maintain a valid driver's license. Able to work overtime and emergency call in. Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Must be able to read and comprehend the English language. Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
