Other duties may be assigned.</p> <p>Van Driver Responsibilities Include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provides safe and reliable transportation service by operating a school bus or other location specific vehicle with a fixed or changing route.</p> </li><li> <p>Reports to duty on time and maintains route on time but in a safe manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Physically assists passengers in evacuation of the vehicle in case of emergency.</p> </li><li> <p>Immediately reports any accident or incident per District policy.</p> </li><li> <p>Follows District Policy around student and/or passenger management.</p> </li><li> <p>Informs all appropriate personnel of problems/procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Presents a neat and professional personal appearance at all times.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes all required paperwork (including route change sheets, time cards, vehicle repair requests) and submits to the appropriate authority in a timely manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains a cooperative attitude with fellow employees, supervisors, customers, and passengers while always promoting company goodwill.</p> </li><li> <p>Safely and efficiently utilizes vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts, radios and emergency equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Requirements Include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be at least 21 years of age.</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess a valid Ohio's driver's license and obtain an Ohio Van Driver's Certificate.</p> </li><li> <p>Must meet physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening.</p> </li><li> <p>Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training.</p> </li><li> <p>Must practice defensive driving at all times and avoid vehicular and industrial accidents by practicing safe driving and work habits.</p> </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Must be able to pass an FBI / BCI criminal background check</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must meet all job-related medical and physical ability standards.</p> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</p> <p>High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p>Must be a minimum of 21 years of age with five years of licensed driving experience.</p> <p>May not have more than two (2) points on drivers abstract.</p>
