<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician</p> <p>Location: Joplin, Missouri</p> <p>Department: Recovery Services Youth</p> <p>Employment Type: Part-Time Overnight</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Join our dedicated team as a Behavioral Health Technician, where you will provide direct and supportive care to clients and patients in a compassionate environment. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in our care. We are looking for individuals who are observant, empathetic, and skilled in communication to help facilitate group activities and monitor client health. Your contributions will make a significant impact on the recovery journey of our clients.</p> <p>In this part-time overnight position, you will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and responding to crises as needed. You will work closely with a treatment team to create a supportive and therapeutic environment for our clients.</p> <p>The Behavioral Health Technician position offers…</p> <ul> <li>Employee Assistance Program - 24/7 counseling services, legal assistance, & financial consultation for you and your household at no cost </li><li>Career Advancement & Wage Growth - Grow in your career with great opportunities for upward mobility and added income </li><li>Comprehensive Training - Learn and develop skills with our robust on-the-job training </li><li>Workplace Culture - An environment cultivating employee wellbeing, valuing each individual's humanity, and actively promoting healthy, joyful workforce engagement </li></ul> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Admit, supervise, monitor, transfer, and discharge clients/patients. </li><li>Ensure monitoring of vital signs and determine the need for escalation to medical intervention when critical symptoms present. </li><li>Obtain and record vital signs and relevant medical symptoms per policy and/or as indicated by medical personnel. </li><li>Oversee medication administration per policy and procedure, ensuring compliance with training certifications. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of client medications and document self-administration or staff administration of medications. </li><li>Monitor client self-administration of over-the-counter (OTC) medications and manage inventory and storage. </li><li>Facilitate client/patient supervision checks and encourage adherence to program expectations in a trauma-informed manner. </li><li>Participate as an active member of the treatment team, helping to identify client strengths, needs, and preferences. </li><li>Document and report any exceptional behavior or areas of concern related to client interactions. </li><li>Prepare for and facilitate group rehabilitative support, education, recovery skills, or recreation groups as scheduled. </li></ul> <p>Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School education OR equivalent and two (2) years of responsible employment </li><li>Experience in Human Services or a related field preferred </li><li>Exceptions to the qualifications listed may be made by the appropriate Executive Team member </li></ul> <p>Additional Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check </li><li>Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance </li><li>First Aid certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date </li><li>Obtain CPR certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date </li><li>Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. </li><li>Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods. </li></ul> <p>Brightli is on a Mission:</p> <p>At Burrell, we are dedicated to changing and saving lives through our commitment to diversity, multiculturalism, and inclusion.
