<p>About the Job: The Nuclear Superintendent will professionally execute heavy lifting and heavy</p> <p>transportation work in the field and at the yard, in keeping with company processes, standards,</p> <p>and nuclear industry regulations. This role leads crews to perform safely, profitably, and with</p> <p>customer satisfaction, while upholding the highest standards of nuclear safety culture and</p> <p>compliance. The Superintendent is responsible for the safety, qualification, and training of their</p> <p>crew, as well as adherence to site-specific and federal nuclear requirements.</p> <p>Description:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate company Core Values and uphold nuclear safety culture in all work. </li><li>Support sales by conducting job walks, assisting with estimates, schedules, and technical </li></ul> <p>input.</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with engineering to plan lifts and transportation activities, ensuring </li></ul> <p>compliance with nuclear standards, engineered drawings, and site procedures.</p> <ul> <li>Lead and supervise crews in the safe execution of heavy lifting and transport work, </li></ul> <p>enforcing NRC/INPO/DOE regulations and ALARA principles.</p> <ul> <li>Monitor construction progress, critical path activities, and schedule milestones; anticipate </li></ul> <p>challenges and communicate plans to project management and superintendents.</p> <ul> <li>Ensure all personnel are trained, qualified, and compliant with nuclear site requirements; </li></ul> <p>provide ongoing coaching, evaluations, and skill development.</p> <ul> <li>Oversee equipment inspections, loadout lists, and mobilization to confirm readiness and </li></ul> <p>compliance with nuclear site standards.</p> <ul> <li>Maintain accurate field documentation, including daily reports, qualifications, and safety </li></ul> <p>records, in alignment with regulatory and company requirements.</p> <ul> <li>Foster a culture of continuous improvement, open communication, and professionalism </li></ul> <p>with crews, management, and customers.</p> <p>Preferred Experience and Skills:</p> <ul> <li>5 years previous experience in construction supervision, with a background in nuclear </li></ul> <p>projects preferred.</p> <ul> <li>2 years previous crane and rigging experience. </li><li>Strong knowledge of nuclear safety culture, quality assurance, and industry </li></ul> <p>codes/regulations.</p> <ul> <li>Proven ability to lead and motivate field crews and subcontractors. </li><li>Solid understanding of construction planning, scheduling, and resource management. </li><li>Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interface effectively with </li></ul> <p>project management, engineering, and clients.</p> <ul> <li>OSHA and/or nuclear industry safety certifications preferred. </li><li>Willingness to travel and work at nuclear project sites as required. </li></ul> <p>Barnhart Offers:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary. </li><li>Bonus program that pays for performance. </li><li>$1 for $1 match on 401(k), capped at 10% of Pay. </li><li>Company Vehicle. </li><li>Medical, Paid Time Off and Holiday, Disability, Life Insurance, and other additional </li></ul> <p>personal and professional benefits are available.</p> <ul> <li>Barnhart CARES </li></ul> <p>o The CARES program is the means by which we seek to care for our employees and</p> <p>for the communities in which we work.
