The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.</p> <p>Organization & Team Overview</p> <p>The Market & Competitive Insights team plays a key role in helping shape Comcast's growth strategy, specifically our longer-term path to competitive differentiation. The foundation of our framework is assessing how consumer preferences, priorities, and behaviors are evolving regarding broadband, mobile, entertainment, and smart home services. In conjunction with that effort, we analyze competitor performance and strategies and tactics for meeting those changing consumer needs. That consumer/competitive/market view provides the context for the longer-term path we help define for Comcast to deliver unique and compelling services that resonate with consumers and differentiate us in the process.</p> <p>Role Description</p> <p>Are you passionate about understanding what drives competitive performance and eager to influence the future of our growth strategy? Do you want to help shape go-to-market strategies that make a real impact in the communications industry?</p> <p>The Market and Competitive Insights team is seeking a motivated and analytical co-op to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to utilize insights an analysis to influence short term tactical and long-term strategic planning. The co-op will play a vital role in identifying and measuring the impacts of consumer, competitive, and macro environmental factors on performance and differentiation across service areas, including broadband, mobile, and entertainment. Additionally, the role will involve analyzing the competitive landscape and performance to pinpoint areas of competitive advantage or opportunity.</p> <p>What are some interesting problems the student will work on?</p> <p>Our mission: To support short-term and tactical strategic planning that achieves growth and competitive differentiation, and to inform our consumer marketing, advertising, technology, product, and partnership initiatives, thereby fulfilling that vision.</p> <p>Where can this student make an impact?</p> <p>The person filling this role will have an opportunity to develop market/competitor analysis to be shared with the senior executive team at Comcast, and will participate in meetings with those executives during their co-op.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>The Market & Competitive Insights Co-Op will play a key role in systematically tracking changes in the Internet and mobile markets, including shifts in competitor strategies and tactics as well as analyzing quarterly market/competitive performance. Key companies to be tracked include Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Frontier, and Charter.</p> </li><li> <p>The MCGS Co-Op will be responsible for highlighting tangible changes in competitor performance trends as well as notable changes occurring across the overall Internet and mobile markets.</p> </li><li> <p>This role will provide strategic support, contributing to brainstorming sessions and strategic planning meetings, offering insights and perspectives based on research findings, particularly regarding customer experience and market entry strategies.</p> </li><li> <p>This role will also involve collaboration with others to assess the competitive landscape and identify longer-term strategies for achieving competitive differentiation with consumers in providing Internet and mobile connectivity services.</p> </li><li> <p>The person filling this role will have a unique opportunity to join Briefing sessions with the senior executive team at Comcast to discuss key trends unfolding across the Connectivity industry including opportunities and challenges for Comcast.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <ul> <li> <p>Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights, particularly regarding customer experience and market strategies.</p> </li><li> <p>Research Abilities: Experience or coursework in market research, customer experience analysis, and competitive strategy.</p> </li><li> <p>Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in Tools: Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) and research platforms (e.g., surveys, databases).</p> </li><li> <p>Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to team discussions and decisions.</p> </li><li> <p>Curiosity & Initiative: A proactive approach to learning and problem-solving, with a strong curiosity about consumer behavior, customer experience, and market dynamics.</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred Majors: Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track.</p> </li><li> <p>Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting September 22, 2025, through March 27, 2026.</p> </li><li> <p>Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs</p> </li><li> <p>Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting</p> </li><li> <p>Comcast is an Affirmative Action/EEO employer M/F/D/V</p> </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <p>Accountability, Communication, Professional Etiquette, Relationship Building, Resilience, Teamwork</p> <p>Compensation</p> <p>Base Pay: $23.00</p> <p>Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
