Our more than 4,000 diverse, passionately committed team members in New York City and around the world work collectively to achieve our conservation mission.</p> <p>General Statement of Duties and Responsibilities, Including, But Not Limited To: Under general supervision, patrols the Zoological Park to maintain and safeguard life and property against fire, vandalism and theft.</p> <p>Examples of Typical Tasks:</p> <ul> <li>Patrols the Zoological Park, maintaining peace, reprimands and ejects loiterers and disorderly persons. </li><li>Calls for police when necessary and represents the Zoo when required pertaining to summonses issued, arrests made, or when court appearances are required. </li><li>Records daily actions and makes reports as required. </li><li>Monitors walkie-talkie / radio and responds to calls for service. </li><li>Performs related tasks as required. </li><li>Will work required shifts. </li><li>May be required to operate a motor vehicle (Patrol etc.) </li><li>Safeguard and maintain equipment (vehicle, radios, etc.) </li></ul>
