Other duties as assigned # Qualifications Minimum Education: Required: All hires after July 2012 are required to have a Bachelor#s Degree in nursing OR if Associates Degree or Diploma, RN must provide proof of enrollment in a BSN program prior to hire, be continuously enrolled and complete within 5 years of hire date or internal RN promotion date. Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation): Required: RN experience preferably acute care experience# Float RN I requires 1 year med surge experience Preferred: 2 or more years RN experience License, Registry or Certification: Required: Current NJ RN licensure American Heart Association CPR certification ACLS within 6 months of hire Telemetry experience or HMC class required# CPI training is required and must be renewed annually Must obtain CPI certification within 6 months of hire/transfe Preferred: Certification in specialty Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Required: Must pass annual clinical competency based program and mandated in-service education. Unit specific skills may include but not limited to IV therapy, basic arrhythmia interpretation, conscious sedation, Bi-Pap/CPAP and EndTidal CO2. Skills will be determined by a challenge exam and/or skill performance or by completion of a Staff Development course. # Must be cross trained by specialty:# -#Inpatient Unit#RN float requires cross training for medical/surgical unit, surgical unit, intermediate care unit, cardiac unit, emergency department, pediatrics, maternity and child care center (MNCC) and critical care.
