<p>Job Title: Seasonal Lead Lifeguard / Pool Manager</p> <p>Location: Marin Country Club</p> <p>Position Type: Seasonal (Summer)</p> <p>Compensation: $25-$30/hr</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Marin Country Club is seeking an experienced, responsible, and customer-focused Seasonal Lead Lifeguard to oversee daily operations of the club's aquatic facilities. This leadership role combines active lifeguarding with staff supervision, pool safety management, and exceptional member service. The ideal candidate sets the tone for safety, professionalism, and hospitality at the pool.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Safety & Lifeguarding</p> <ul> <li> <p>Maintain constant surveillance of pool areas to ensure the safety of members and guests</p> </li><li> <p>Enforce pool rules and safety regulations in a courteous and consistent manner</p> </li><li> <p>Respond to emergencies, provide first aid, CPR, and water rescues as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct daily safety checks of pool, deck, and equipment</p> </li></ul> <p>Staff Leadership & Scheduling</p> <ul> <li> <p>Supervise, mentor, and support seasonal lifeguard staff</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of lifeguards</p> </li><li> <p>Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor staff performance and address issues professionally</p> </li></ul> <p>Pool Operations & Management</p> <ul> <li> <p>Open and close the pool facility according to club procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate with maintenance and management regarding pool chemistry, cleanliness, and repairs</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate records, including incident reports, attendance, and certifications</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate effectively with club management regarding operations and concerns</p> </li></ul> <p>Member Service</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide a welcoming, friendly environment for members and guests</p> </li><li> <p>Address member questions, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally</p> </li><li> <p>Promote a positive pool culture aligned with Marin Country Club standards</p> </li><li> <p>May teach private or group swim lessons, as needed, following club guidelines</p> </li></ul> <p>Availability & Seasonal Commitment</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Current Lifeguard Certification (Red Cross or equivalent) </li><li>Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification </li></ul> <p>Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Previous lifeguard experience required; supervisory or pool management experience strongly preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to remain calm and decisive in emergency situations</p> </li><li> <p>Must be dependable, punctual, and professional</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to swim proficiently and perform water rescues</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to lift rescue equipment and assist patrons as needed</p> </li></ul> <p>Schedule & Compensation:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Seasonal position with flexible scheduling</p> </li><li> <p>Some limited availability required prior to pool opening to assist with preparation, hiring, and staff training (schedule flexible)</p> </li><li> <p>Seasonal position typically running from Memorial Day through Labor Day</p> </li><li> <p>Season may extend beyond Labor Day into September, depending on weather and club needs</p> </li><li> <p>Availability to work weekends and holidays during the pool season</p> </li><li> <p>Competitive seasonal pay based on experience: $25 - $30</p> </li></ul>
