<p>The Communication and Humanities department is seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic individual to join our faculty as a Spanish Adjunct Instructor at our community college. Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate courses in Spanish, providing students with a solid foundation of principles, theories, and concepts. This position offers an excellent opportunity to share your knowledge and passion for Spanish with students from diverse backgrounds.</p> <p>The candidate can expect to teach a broad range of Spanish courses determined by the evolving needs of the department. Experience teaching diverse students at various levels of college-preparedness and non-traditional students is highly desirable.</p> <ul> <li>MA in Spanish or MA in a Foreign Language with fluency in Spanish. 1-2 years teaching Spanish at the college level. </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Commitment to teaching a student body diverse in ability, age, ethnicity, race, and sexual orientation. </li><li>Must successfully pass a criminal background check. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Three to four years teaching Spanish courses at a community college. </li><li>Experience with academic outcomes assessment, data collection, and analysis.  </li><li>Experience with our (LMS) learning management system (D2L) desire to learn. </li></ul> <p> STATUS/SALARY: </p> <p> This is a part-time adjunct position with salary to be determined by placement on the adjunct faculty salary schedule commensurate with education and experience.</p>
