This includes preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on income and expenses; maintaining project budget tracking systems; and ensuring accurate documentation and verification of all financial transactions. The role processes journal entries, purchase orders, payment requests, invoices, vendor setup, payment tracking, and credit card reconciliation in accordance with university and foundation policies. Additional responsibilities include supporting grant budgeting and tracking, donation reporting, staff expense reports, travel coordination (including international travel), and overseeing procurement of office and programmatic supplies.</p> <p>Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 40 Job Duty</p> <p>Human Resources and Facilities Management</p> <p>The Business Manager oversees key administrative operations and serves as the primary human resources liaison for the Anne Frank Center. This includes coordinating with the Provost's Office on HR-related matters such as hiring, salary actions, stipends, and performance evaluations. The position manages contractual agreements and supports facilities-related projects, including maintenance, upgrades, construction, and security. The Business Manager also provides operational support for on-site programs and events and manages the building calendar to ensure adequate staffing and effective use of space. This includes but is not limited to general building and grounds upkeep, telecommuting reporting, and a range of other administrative functions.</p> <p>Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 30 Job Duty</p> <p>Center and Executive Director Administrative Support</p> <p>The Business Manager provides high-level administrative and strategic support to the Executive Director of the Anne Frank Center. This role is responsible for managing planning, scheduling, calendar coordination, and communications, while overseeing delegation processes and tracking active commitments, projects, and action items to ensure timely follow-through. The Business Manager maintains systems to monitor responses and delegated tasks, participates in executive leadership meetings, and documents individual and collective commitments. The position requires strong professional judgment, sensitivity to the Center's mission-driven work, and a continuous focus on identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, including exploring new tools or platforms to support office functions.</p> <p>Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty</p> <p>Additional Duties and Organizational Support</p> <p>In support of the Center's overall success, the Business Manager oversees and assists with general office functions, center organization, special projects, and other duties as assigned. These include providing building coverage, answering phones and the front door, welcoming visitors, maintaining digital file organization, coordinating with facilities staff, and supporting warehouse and supply needs.
