<p>CONTRACT/SALARY: Hourly, Up to 20-hour/week, as needed</p> <p>STATUS: Non-Exempt</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance/Building Principal</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY: Assist and perform various custodial duties in the district. Maintain a clean, healthy and safe environment for students and staff.</p> <p>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Clean/maintain school facilities such as classrooms, restrooms, hallways, entrance doors, entryways, offices, floors, desks, chairs and walls. This includes scrubbing, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting and waxing. </li><li>Replenishes supplies in restrooms and classrooms; changes light bulbs. </li><li>Orders janitorial supplies from maintenance office. </li><li>Remove snow and ice from sidewalks. </li><li>Empties trash receptacles. </li><li>Set up chairs/tables for meeting and other items as needed. </li><li>Assist in painting, cutting grass, making repairs, and insuring rooms are securely locked. </li><li>Report maintenance problems to building principal. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by building principal or director of maintenance. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read and write. </li><li>Ability to follow written and verbal directions. </li><li>Ability to perform moderate to heavy manual labor. </li><li>Ability to perform daily tasks with minimum supervision. </li><li>Ability to work well with others. </li><li>Ability to effectively communicate and work well with students, staff and parents. </li><li>Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed. </li><li>Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 75 lbs with assistance. </li><li>Ability to have reliable transporation to and from work. </li><li>Must be at least 16 years of age or older and a student within the Fox C-6 School District. </li></ul> <p>The Fox C-6 School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p>
