<p>Lafayette Summer NourishCorps field specialist</p> <p>The NourishCorps Summer Associate will: 1. Serve one on one with Summer Food Service Program sites with programmatic activities at off-site partner agencies and distribution sites. 2.Provide technical support and guidance to partner agencies, schools and community centers on program enrollment, coordination, and ongoing communication for the summer meal programs. 3.Performing duties in accordance with food bank safety policies and Feeding Louisiana's NourishCorps member handbook. 4.Attending and completing all NourishCorps and food bank required training and orientations. The NourishCorps summer members must: • Pass an AmeriCorps National Service Criminal History check. • Have a Louisiana driver's license or state ID and pass a MVR check. • Must be 17 years of age or older. • Must have high school diploma or equivelent • Must be able to lift 40 pounds unassisted. • Must be able to stand for long periods of time. • Must have basic computer skills. • Must have access to a reliable and consistent means of transportation. Summer NourishCorps members will receive: •Member living allowance $611.11 gross pay every two-week bi-weekly pay period for 25 hours of work per week. This will be a total of 100 hours of service from May 28-June 24, 2026. Members will receive a total amount of $1,222.22 gross pay from two pay periods. •Upon successful completion of 100 hours of service, the member will receive a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award of $470.17 to be used for college/school/student loan expenses and can be transferred to an immediate family member if the associate is 55 and older at the time of service. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.</p> <p>Member Duties : The NourishCorps Summer Members will serve in a unique position at their host site food bank and its partner children's summer feeding sites and agencies, expanding the food bank's capacity to connect children and their families with summer food service sites and with nutritious food and strengthen children's summer feeding programming overall.
