<p>Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Deployed Support Specialist to support a Navy mission through 100% onsite presence in Norfolk, VA. The Deployed Support Specialist will provide advanced network engineering, system configuration, deployment planning support, and hands-on troubleshooting for mission-critical communications systems supporting Navy deployed units.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Deployed Support Specialist include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide network technical advice and assistance during planning phases of deployments/exercises</p> </li><li> <p>Deliver rapid, expert troubleshooting and coordination of solutions during live execution phases</p> </li><li> <p>Support and administer enterprise network components, including:</p> </li><li> <p>Routers & switches</p> </li><li> <p>Firewalls</p> </li><li> <p>Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)</p> </li><li> <p>DNS, Active Directory (AD), and Exchange</p> </li><li> <p>Perform system configuration, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for deployed USMC units</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in developing and delivering Information Assurance (IA) training for deploying units.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide direct support to the D-30 deployment readiness process</p> </li><li> <p>Identify required hardware (HW) and software (SW) for each mission and coordinate procurement and transport</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate foreign country clearance requests, obtain visas, and ensure readiness for OCONUS travel</p> </li><li> <p>Document deployment outcomes using government-provided templates and conduct post-deployment reviews</p> </li><li> <p>Manage the return, restock, and accountability of unused/reusable equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Support import/export requirements and obtain necessary permits for mission systems</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with regional leads across 14 regions consisting of network engineering and operations personnel</p> </li><li> <p>Engage regularly with traveling field/base network engineers supporting military network environments</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications of the Deployed Support Specialist include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma or GED</p> </li><li> <p>4+ years of experience providing deployed technical support or field network operations</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with Cisco routing and switching, including Layer 2/3 technologies</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to troubleshoot and configure enterprise systems including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP routing protocols</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of TCP/UDP networking fundamentals</p> </li><li> <p>Experience supporting technical or highly regulated environments, preferably military networks</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to travel, including OCONUS</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess:</p> </li><li> <p>CompTIA Security+ CE (IAT Level II)</p> </li><li> <p>OEM network support certification, such as Cisco CCNA (preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with Cisco-based environments, routing, switching, and deployed communications support</p> </li><li> <p>Active Secret Clearance</p> </li></ul> <p>Compensation for the Systems Administrator includes:</p> <ul> <li>Salary: $60,000 -
