<p>We are looking for candidates who have a passion for helping at-risk youth. </p> <p>We are Working Together to Strengthen North Carolina's Youth and Families!</p> <p>This position is located at Cabarrus Youth Development Center in Concord (Cabarrus County)</p> <p>Position is required to be on call and available 24/7. Facilities are operated 24/7 weekends & holidays.</p> <p> The Director position is responsible for the operations of a secured facility which includes a two-building juvenile detention facility with 62 total beds and a 96 bed youth development center.</p> <p> </p> <p>The position will have responsibility for managing staff who will provide counseling and supervision to youth. </p> <p> Job Duties Include:</p> <ul> <li>Recruiting, interviewing, and selecting staff for hiring. </li><li>Providing direct supervision and evaluation of job performance of staff. </li><li>Managing, directing, and supervising facility staff to ensure that work is assigned appropriately and is subsequently performed in an efficient, therapeutic, and cost-effective manner. </li><li>Planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily facility operations, including development of detailed plans outlining policies and procedures guiding the day-to-day operations of the facility. </li><li>Monitoring the treatment process and delivery of services by facility staff and/or contracted staff when applicable. </li><li>Monitoring family visitation to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and provide intervention as required. </li><li>Responsible for all aspects of community coordination. </li><li></li></ul> <p>Must meet the hiring and training standards established by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.</p> <p>Must have ability to obtain valid NC Driver's License.</p> <p>Work Schedule:</p> <p>This is a full-time position. 8:00am-5:00pm or as needed to execute the duties and responsibilities of the position outside of the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm.
