<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Technology/Computer Technician</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>2/26/2026</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>District</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>6/15/2026</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>until filled</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>IT SUMMER WORKER - PEQUANNOCK TOWNSHIP SCHOOL DISTRICT</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS: High School graduate/GED required, College Degree or Industry Certifications preferred, demonstrated successful experience in computer technology support and maintenance, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, willingness to learn all facets of Educational Technology, valid driver's license.</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Chief Technology Officer</p> <p>JOB GOAL: Assist Chief Technology Officer and Network Administrator in maintenance upgrades, troubleshooting, and repair of computers and peripherals, software, local area networks, wide area network, and other technology systems throughout the school district.</p> <p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist Chief Technology Officer and Network Administrator in all facets of technology systems maintenance.</p> </li><li> <p>Troubleshoot hardware problems on a variety of different computer platforms, including but not limited to PCs, Apple Macintosh, and Chromebooks.</p> </li><li> <p>Diagnose problems, order parts, repair equipment as needed, and coordinate authorized factory/warranty repair.</p> </li><li> <p>Transport, install, and set up new computer equipment, equipment returning to users after repair, or equipment being relocated within the district to different users. Pick up and deliver equipment to all district locations.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain practical knowledge of system software including Microsoft Windows 11 and beyond; Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and beyond; Apple MacOS & iOS; Chrome OS and other software.</p> </li><li> <p>Install software applications and operating systems as needed throughout the district.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide basic assistance on occasion to staff regarding the proper use of hardware and system software.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide support for the intra-district WAN (Wide Area Network) as directed by the Network Administrator.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain drivers, utilities, patches, version upgrades, and other necessary software items needed to perform the day-to-day functions of the job.</p> </li><li> <p>Other related assignments and duties are to be performed as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Routinely lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge and experience with Apple MDM and/or Mosyle is a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge and experience with Active Directory is a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Possible additional stipend for livestreaming BOE meetings and other after school events</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge and experience with AV equipment and livestreaming a plus</p> </li></ul> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: June 15, 2026 - August 31, 2026</p> <p>SALARY: $15.92/hour not to exceed 27 hours/week</p>
