Summer Camp Counselors perform a variety of program activities including:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Help deliver engaging, hands-on enrichment activities to enhance and expand children's knowledge and experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure safety of children while participating in camp activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with preparing and serving meals and snacks.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor children's progress and accomplishments under direction of supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide oversight of children transitioning between activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide clerical support to camp administrators.</p> </li></ol> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Must be currently enrolled at Ohio University or other university (Hocking College, University of Rio Grande, Ohio State University, Marietta College, etc.)</p> <p>Must have high school diploma or GED (uploaded as "Other" document with this application).</p> <p>Must be available to work 9 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday, during mandatory training week (June 9th through June 13th).</p> <p>Must be available to work 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, for the majority of camp dates (June 16th through July 18th, days off on June 19th, June 20th, July 4th).</p> <p>Successful applicants will also be required to complete Ohio Department of Children and Youth compliant background checks.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Experience working with school-aged children.</p> <p>Department Kids On Campus Pay Rate</p> <p>Starting at $12.00 per hour</p> <p>Posting Open Date 03/06/2025 Posting End Date 05/04/2025 Job Category Student Hourly Planning Unit College of Health Sciences & Professions Work Schedule</p> <p>See "Minimum Qualifications" above for schedules.</p> <p>Campus Athens Applicants may contact this person if they have questions about this position.
