<p>We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our Direct Group Financial Planning & Analysis team. In this role, you'll help shape financial strategies, support key business decisions, and provide insights that drive performance across the organization. If you enjoy solving problems, working with data, and partnering with leaders across the business, this is a great opportunity to make an impact.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Review Monthly Results: Review and validate monthly financial results, turning data into clear insights that help our business partners understand performance. </li><li>Lead Budgeting & Forecasting: Manage the annual budget and monthly forecasts, helping teams understand trends, risks, and opportunities. </li><li>Track Performance Metrics: Build and maintain reports that highlight KPIs and financial metrics, explain variances, and identify ways to improve results. </li><li>Partner with Business Units: Work closely with enterprise and other group FP&A teams, corporate finance, operations, and leadership teams to provide insights and support strategic discussions. </li><li>Work with Data Tools: Extract and analyze financial, operational, and production data using SQL, and present insights through clear, user-friendly dashboards and visualizations in Tableau or similar BI tools. </li><li>Maintain Databases: Develop and support SQL Server databases and Excel-based tools that improve data accessibility, enhance automation, and ensure reliable reporting infrastructure. </li><li>Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to streamline workflows, increase data accuracy, and reduce manual effort through smarter processes and automation. </li><li>Support Key Initiatives: Perform cost/benefit analyses and other special projects that help guide strategic decisions and support our growth initiatives. </li><li>Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide thoughtful financial modeling and deep-dive analysis when new questions or opportunities arise. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related discipline). </li><li>2-4 years of experience in FP&A or a similar financial role. </li><li>Experience with Workday or Adaptive Insights is a plus. </li><li>Working knowledge of SQL and BI visualization tools (including advanced Excel dashboards). </li><li>Strong analytical skills and the ability to connect financial results to business performance. </li><li>Solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. </li><li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; proficiency with all MS Office tools. </li><li>Experience building financial models and supporting data-driven decisions. </li><li>Strong time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Comfortable improving processes, managing projects, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. </li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial topics clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences. </li><li>Insurance industry experience (Life or P&C) is preferred but not required. </li></ul> <p>SALARY RANGE</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $90,000 to $125,000 annually.
