<p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Zhu lab in the Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center is looking for a talented Post-doctoral Scholar to study adipose tissue and inter-organ communication (adipose-liver-gut axis) in obesity and MASH. This position offers a unique opportunity to study lipid metabolism and tissue crosstalk using state-of-the-art genetics, physiology and multi-omics approaches.</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct independent research with supervision and guidance, including publications in peer-reviewed journals. </li><li>Design and execute in vivo, ex vivo, and in vitro experiments using diverse cellular systems and mouse models. </li><li>Perform mouse metabolic phenotyping and data analyses (e.g. glucose and lipid metabolism, glucose-stimulated insulin secretion, energy expenditure, and histology) </li><li>Apply molecular biology techniques, including CRISPR gene editing and adeno-associated virus (AAV)-mediated gene delivery. </li></ul> <p>Skills / Knowledge / Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Strong motivation for metabolic research. </li><li>Some experience working with mice. </li><li>Proficiency in English (communication, writhing, and presentation). </li><li>Interest in learning new techniques. </li></ul> <p>Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
