<p>Overview</p> <p>Buyer I - Supply Chain</p> <p>We are seeking an enthusiastic, driven individual whose knowledge and skills will help us take our Global Planning and Procurement team to the next level. This position is responsible for vendor management and MRP purchasing for a defined scope of the business along with raw material planning and data analytics supporting the Bridgewater site.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will have an eye for continuous improvement opportunities and a knack for problem solving. You will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment as you work hand-in-hand and lead communications with Operations, Supply Chain, and Product Management teams to ensure supply strategies are aligned with business goals and objectives. Come 'roll your sleeves up' as your supply chain expertise, proactive analysis of tradeoffs, and timely actions make all the difference in our ability to deliver for customers!</p> <p>Your success will be measured by:</p> <ul> <li>Leveraging technical knowledge, process knowledge and tools to drive continuous improvement. </li><li>Practical success as measured by the ability to fulfill orders on time and maintain industry-leading lead times. </li><li>Accountability for results and respectful/open expression of ideas and viewpoints. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Responsibilities Include but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Prioritize activity & communication based upon the needs and goals of the organization and acting with proper urgency based upon the needs and requirements of internal and external customers. </li><li>Procure high-precision machinery parts from reliable suppliers. </li><li>Negotiate pricing, net terms, orders and contracts to assure the flow of quality components and services to the organization while minimizing or optimizing timing, risk and inventory value. </li><li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and stakeholders. </li><li>Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all information and data shared and logged in the ERP system. </li><li>Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure procurement aligns with project timelines and technical specifications. </li><li>Understand the operational flow of the organization and how the position contributes and relates to the design, acquisition and transformation of components into a finished saleable product. </li><li>Compute, analyze and report supply, demand, standard cost, actual cost, financial, break even and ROI information. </li><li>Display a proactive approach to responsibilities with advance planning and preventative actions and keen focus to deadlines and deliverables. </li><li>Having a positive attitude and continuous improvement mindset </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications & Required Skills/Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. </li><li>3-5+ years of experience in purchasing, specifically in high-precision machinery parts or a similar industry </li><li>Experience with S/4HANA software </li><li>Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills, computer skills </li><li>Maintain an open, positive, supportive and service focused attitude and approach to all responsibilities. </li><li>Possess advanced knowledge of supply chain activities and relationship management </li></ul> <p>What Repligen Offers</p> <p>Repligen offers you a competitive remuneration package, including a yearly bonus, non-contributory pension, generous PTO, partial compensation on your personal health insurance and flexible working hours.
