This position is responsible for: weighing/ticketing customer trucks, assisting with administrative tasks, and completing purchase orders.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta's Guardian Angel culture </li><li>Operate scale house computers to obtain weight information </li><li>Issue weight/product tickets </li><li>Schedule and direct trucks </li><li>Collaborate with the sales department and dispatch to develop understanding of business needs </li><li>Communicate with customers/vendors to exchange information about products, materials, and services </li><li>Answer incoming calls and emails </li><li>Manage daily inventory records </li><li>Identify and research problematic tickets and document findings </li><li>Address customer concerns with the management team </li><li>Maintain, monitor, and clean work areas </li><li>Assist plant manager and office staff as required </li><li>Cost Tracking </li></ul> <p>Position Type/Expected Hours of Work</p> <p>This is a full-time position and will require 40+ hours per week with occasional travel to other Martin Marietta sites.</p> <p>Preferred Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Customer service experience </li><li>Previous scale operator experiences preferred </li><li>Previous accounts payable or receivable experience preferred </li><li>Proficient within Microsoft Outlook programs </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work with minimal supervision </li><li>Knowledge of MSHA regulations </li><li>Effective verbal communication </li><li>Knowledge of heavy mobile equipment and tools including their design, use, and maintenance </li></ul> <p>Physical Abilities</p> <ul> <li>This job operates 80-90% of the time in an office environment and 10-20% of the time outdoors. </li><li>Employees are occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. </li><li>The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. </li></ul>
