<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Illinois Tool Works (ITW) is a Fortune 200 diversified manufacturing company with seven decentralized business segments, which include the Food Equipment Group. The Cooking Steam Division of ITW's Food Equipment Group, is seeking Assembler/Packers for their Troy, Ohio manufacturing facility.</p> <p>This first shift Assembler position starts out at $18.25 an hour and is responsible for a range of assembly operations connected with main and final assembly, sub-assembler; packing, trouble shooting, repair and adjustment of stainless-steel commercial models to meet exacting operating performance. These positions may require daily and/or weekend overtime to meet customer expectations. Utilizing hand tools, power tools, fixtures, hoists and work instructions, the Assembler will also use their combined knowledge of both mechanical technology and electrical components to complete production tasks.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assembles and repairs equipment according to work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, and specifications using hand tools, power tools and precision instruments</p> </li><li> <p>Usage of basic hand and power tools</p> </li><li> <p>Reads process sheets, blueprints, schematics and work instructions to determine methods and sequence of assembly operations</p> </li><li> <p>Performs visual inspections of equipment parts for defects related to the fit, form or function</p> </li><li> <p>Works within a team environment to execute weekly production schedules that are measured for productivity</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates a high level of competency on assembling of machines</p> </li><li> <p>Assembles, packs and/or crates finished products and parts in a variety of crates or boxes</p> </li><li> <p>Provides instruction/training for others on assembly products and processes</p> </li><li> <p>Perform responsibilities and tasks following quality and safety practices and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Accepts responsibility for all housekeeping protocols and reporting any inventory concerns to supervisor</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to all plant rules and maintain proper attendance standards according to company policy</p> </li><li> <p>Work and communicate well with others in a cross-functional team environment</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED preferred </li><li>Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred </li><li>Ability to physically perform (stand, pivot, lean, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds) as required </li><li>Prolonged periods of standing/sitting/squatting/stooping and performing repetitive tasks </li><li>Periods of working in hot/cold manufacturing environment </li><li>Ability to use hand and power tools, safely and efficiently </li><li>Demonstrate basic proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints and instructions to perform assembly in proper order and sequence </li></ul> <p>We are an equal opportunity employer, where we value the strengths of diverse team members.</p> <p>Compensation Information:</p> <p>Starting pay $18.25/hour.
