This internship offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the dynamic world of intellectual property (IP) law within a biopharmaceutical company, working alongside world-class experts and decision-makers.</p> <p>A Typical Day:</p> <p>As a Law Department Intern, your day may include:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting with enforcement of Regeneron's IP rights and defending against IP infringement suits globally. </li><li>Reading and analyzing scientific literature, patents, and reviews, and succinctly summarizing findings for the team. </li><li>Conducting research on competitors and products to support legal strategies. </li><li>Attending meetings with legal teams from around the world and engaging with experts. </li><li>Presenting complex ideas and information to diverse audiences. </li><li>Participating in court and patent administrative hearings as necessary. </li><li>Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to manage complex projects effectively. </li></ul> <p>This Role May Be For You If:</p> <ul> <li>You have excellent analytical, oral communication, and writing skills. </li><li>You hold a degree in biological sciences (e.g., biochemistry, genetics, immunology) or chemistry, with an advanced degree (PhD or equivalent) being highly desirable. </li><li>You have research experience in academic or commercial laboratories. </li><li>You are intrigued by the intersection of science and law, and envision a career as a patent litigator or attorney. </li><li>You excel at breaking down complex ideas and communicating them effectively. </li><li>You possess additional language skills such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, Italian, Spanish, or French, which would be advantageous. </li></ul> <p>To Be Considered:</p> <p>We are looking for candidates with a solid academic background in biological sciences or chemistry, preferably with advanced degrees (PhD or equivalent).
