<p>Safety & Compliance Claims Supervisor</p> <p>Kaiser Transport, Inc. Location: Janesville, WI Terminal (On-Site) Job Type: Full-Time | Salary (Exempt)</p> <p>About Kaiser Transport</p> <p>Kaiser Transport, Inc. is a leading open-deck LTL transportation company specializing in the movement of machinery, equipment, and commodities. We operate in a fast-paced, high-performance environment focused on operational excellence and customer service.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>Kaiser Transport is seeking a Safety & Compliance Claims Supervisor to join our Safety & Compliance team. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of freight, cargo, and related claims-from initial incident intake and documentation through investigation, resolution, and reporting.</p> <p>Working under the direction of the Safety & Compliance Department Manager, this position plays a key role in protecting the company from financial risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining strong customer relationships.</p> <p>This is a hands-on, detail-driven role that requires strong organization, follow-through, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Claims & Incident Management</p> <ul> <li>Manage daily incident intake and serve as the primary point of contact for incident reporting </li><li>Investigate and evaluate freight, cargo, and related claims </li><li>Gather documentation including statements, photos, and supporting evidence </li><li>Work with other departments to determine cause, scope, and estimated value of loss or damage </li><li>Track claims through resolution and ensure timely follow-up </li></ul> <p>Coordination & Communication</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate with drivers, internal teams, carriers, and insurance providers </li><li>Communicate proactively with customers regarding claim status and updates </li><li>Support resolution of liability issues and claim-related disputes </li><li>Maintain professional relationships while facilitating efficient outcomes </li></ul> <p>Compliance & Administrative Support</p> <ul> <li>Support internal audits and ELD compliance activities </li><li>Assist with workers' compensation claims administration and documentation </li><li>Maintain accurate, audit-ready safety and compliance records </li><li>Support vendor coordination and insurance-related functions </li></ul> <p>Reporting & Continuous Improvement</p> <ul> <li>Maintain claim logs and generate reports on claim activity and trends </li><li>Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements </li><li>Support the development and implementation of safety and compliance processes </li></ul> <p>Additional Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours and weekend incident support </li><li>Ensure prompt, accurate, and professional communication across all interactions </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy </li><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills </li><li>Strong communication skills (verbal and written) </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability </li><li>Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) </li></ul> <p>Preferred Experience</p> <ul> <li>Experience in transportation, logistics, safety, or claims handling </li><li>Familiarity with DOT, FMCSA, or regulatory compliance concepts </li><li>Experience working with claims, insurance processes, or investigations </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required </li><li>Bachelor's degree preferred (not required) </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position operates in a trucking terminal environment, including office, yard, and shop areas.
