<p>DEPARTMENT: Racking</p> <p>JOB TITLE: Crane Operator</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Shift Facilitator</p> <p>SHIFT DAYS /HOURS: 8 hr. shifts (Mon-Fri) 3:00 pm- 11:00 am) Must be willing and able to work Mandatory OT on off days as necessary.</p> <p>What You Will Be Responsible For:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain safety (including housekeeping), quality, and productivity to meet daily goals </li><li>Communicate with other Crane Operators, Racking Team Leader, Un-racking Team Leader, Team Members, and Special Ops Department to maximize productivity and prioritize availability </li><li>Acute attention to crane and affected work areas </li><li>Manage carrier flow throughout shift </li><li>Complete operation and mechanical inspections on crane and report/document any issues </li><li>Dry parts as needed </li><li>Maintain carrier flow between hold/overflow area, dryer, racking, strip line tank, un-racking area, and Special Ops by balancing availability and demand </li><li>Etch and rinse carriers both empties and rework to predetermined specifications </li></ul> <p>Work Environment / Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. </li><li>The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. </li><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. </li><li>The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and always without air conditioning. </li></ul> <p>What You Will Need:</p> <ul> <li>Pass all certifications, training, testing, and qualification requirements. </li><li>Communicate verbally and in written text with Supervisors, Team Lead, and Team Members </li><li>Operate all tools and equipment used in the crane operation process </li><li>Simple arithmetic required (calculating load weights against crane restrictions, counting, adding, and multiplying piece counts) </li><li>Distinguish safe stable loads from unsafe ones </li><li>Understand and follow CRANE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS </li><li>Adjust plans as needed and required </li><li>Assist in training of employees (in direct coordination with Leads, Supervisors, and Qualification Training Guides) </li><li>Basic understanding of strip line, un-racking and racking requirements </li><li>Medium to heavy physical demand, frequent lifting, carrying parts, stooping, kneeling, balancing, reaching, standing, and walking for extended periods of time. Repetitive hand/wrist and arm movement is required. Must have an acute awareness of conditions and hazards associated with the job </li><li>Must be able to lift parts up to 50lbs, and less frequently, parts up to 100lbs with help. Constant lifting in the 1-20lb range </li><li>Must move from area to area of crane operation as instructed by supervisor and may require other duties as assigned by Supervisor </li><li>Must pass a company background check and drug screen. </li></ul>
