This individual will be part of the Merchant team.</p> <p>What You'll Do | Key Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Ensure timely delivery of the merchandise through consistent communication and follow up with the vendor, distribution centers, and the merchandising and allocation team </li><li>Create, manage, and complete purchase orders </li><li>Manage promo, signage, and pricing (inclusive of markdowns) </li><li>Manage product flow on a weekly and monthly basis </li><li>Monitor replenishment of products with planning team </li><li>Prepare product analysis </li><li>Sample management </li><li>Assist with the preparation of purchase orders </li><li>Communicate issues to stores using the appropriate communication channels </li><li>Interact effectively with vendors and internal colleagues to achieve departmental goals </li><li>Resolve DC or store issues that arise with product </li><li>Additional duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Skills & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising or similar preferred </li><li>2+ years of allocation experience and buying or assistant buying functions strongly preferred </li><li>Thorough understanding of the Open to Buy process, as well as assortment planning experience </li><li>Thorough knowledge and understanding of GM%, MU% and GM$ </li><li>Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical abilities </li><li>Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills </li><li>Consistent demonstration of professionalism, sound judgment, and integrity </li><li>Motivated and able to work well independently, as well as an effective member of a team </li><li>Ability to multi-task and provide timely follow up </li><li>Ability to build solid relationships with teammates and business unit leaders </li><li>Proficient use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook </li></ul> <p>Please note that you do not need to qualify for all requirements to be considered. The starting salary for this position is $68,200 - $75,000 and may increase to $82,000 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual's skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Other compensation may include a 10% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.</p> <p>Note: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
