<p>The Teacher Aide is responsible for assisting the Center Teacher in ensuring the education, safety, and well-being of children and families enrolled in the Early Childhood Program. This role supports the implementation of integrated curriculum plans, promotes holistic child development, and contributes to the overall quality of educational services provided.</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li></ul> <p>Job-Related Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Preference given to candidates with experience with young children. </li></ul> <p>People Management Experience:</p> <ul> <li>This position does not directly supervise employees. </li></ul> <p>Licenses, Certifications, and Accreditations:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Ohio Driver's License, reliable transportation, and proof of car insurance. </li></ul> <p>Other Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift 40 pounds, stoop and bend to speak with children on their level. </li><li>Must possess audio and visual skills to care for young children. </li><li>Three References </li><li>Physical Exam and/or T8 exam </li><li>Complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test </li><li>Updated immunizations </li><li>Permission to obtain a copy of BCI and FBI background check. </li><li>Be insurable under the agency insurance policy. </li><li>Signed Standards of Conduct </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Center Based Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or qualifying degree. </li><li>Child Development Associate (CDA) or qualifying degree. </li><li>Early childhood college courses or degree based on number of credit hours or level of degree. </li><li>Length of experience working with young children under the age of 6. </li><li>Preference given to applicants willing to complete CDL pre-service training and obtain certification. Must be at least 21 years of age and five years of driving experience. </li><li>Preference given if willing to obtain Child Development Associate (CDA). </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>Position is in a well-lighted classroom with up to 20 preschool age children (3-5 years old) or up to 8 infant and toddler children. Work is fast paced and requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and to stoop and bend to interact with children on their level. Must be willing to engage in professional development efforts, including occasional overnight stays, as available to the position and requested by the supervisor. This work can involve moderate to high levels of stress.</p>
