<p>Clinical Research Nurse ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE (day time, overnight, weekends)</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Clinical Research Nurse is responsible for overseeing study unit activities in Phase 1 clinical trials, with a focus on ensuring the safety and welfare of study participants.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Enroll patients into clinical trials and conduct the Informed Consent (ICF) process by educating, explaining, and informing participants of study procedures. </li><li>Utilize skills, knowledge, nursing diagnosis, and clinical judgment to provide high-standard care for participants in clinical trials. </li><li>Observe participant general well-being and potential adverse events using nursing assessment skills. </li><li>Document adverse events and take appropriate action as needed. </li><li>Perform study-related activities such as cannulation, telemetry, holters, vital signs, ECGs, and venipuncture. </li><li>Collect and process biological samples according to protocol and Standard Operating Procedures. </li><li>Record data obtained in a timely, error-free manner according to protocol and Standard Operating Procedures. </li><li>Transcribe source data onto the Case Report Form. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing in Wisconsin. </li><li>Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Nursing (ASN or BSN). </li><li>0-3 years of nursing experience in a patient-facing setting. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience with clinical research is preferred. </li><li>CPR and ACLS certifications are preferred. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The candidate will work in the Phase I Clinical Research Unit in Madison, WI. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN or LPN to gain experience and training in the clinical research space, with room for advancement in clinical and regulatory areas.
