This role blends engineering expertise with project management, client coordination, and team mentorship-supporting critical infrastructure like roadways, bridges, and commercial sites.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Manage geotechnical projects from subsurface exploration to final recommendations, ensuring technical accuracy and efficiency</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate field and lab data to develop sound engineering solutions for foundations, slope stability, and ground improvement</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare detailed technical reports and proposals, while participating in business development opportunities</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors to maintain alignment and solve project challenges</p> </li><li> <p>Mentor junior staff and support a positive, safety-first, and collaborative work culture</p> </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Mining, or a related engineering field</p> </li><li> <p>A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering</p> </li><li> <p>A Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire</p> </li><li> <p>A minimum of 1-3 years of project management, supervisory, or team leadership experience, a plus</p> </li><li> <p>A strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD</p> </li></ul> <p>What to Expect:</p> <p>With the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):</p> <ul> <li> <p>Outdoor, hands-on work in all weather conditions and outside normal business hours as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Walking on uneven terrain and maneuvering field equipment such as a loaded wheelbarrow</p> </li><li> <p>Lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs. of field or lab equipment and samples</p> </li><li> <p>Occasional out-of-town travel and overnight stays for project assignments</p> </li></ul> <p>Why Join S&ME?</p> <p>At S&ME, your career growth matters.
