Beam is a values-driven organization committed to its people, cutting-edge science, and a vision of providing life-long cures to patients suffering from serious diseases.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Business Analyst to support Beam's Medical Affairs team by managing application support and system implementations, while also leading small to mid-size IT projects across the organization. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring that systems and processes align with strategic goals and operational efficiency.</p> <p>This position is based in Cambridge, MA 1-2 days/week onsite.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>IT Application Implementation and Support</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary IT liaison for Medical Affairs applications, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction. </li><li>Provide Level 2/3 support for application issues, coordinating with suppliers and internal IT teams as needed. </li><li>Lead the implementation and configuration of new applications or enhancements to existing systems. </li><li>Conduct user training, create documentation, and support change management efforts. </li></ul> <p>IT Business Analysis</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with Medical Affairs stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. </li><li>Translate business needs into functional specifications and technical requirements. </li><li>Act as a 'product manager' for supported functions, going beyond simple requirements elicitation to help define solutions that anticipate future needs, leverage knowledge of industry trends, and ensure scalability </li></ul> <p>IT Project Management</p> <ul> <li>Manage small to mid-size IT projects for various IT initiatives from initiation through closure, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget. </li><li>Develop project plans, track milestones, manage risks, and communicate status to stakeholders. </li><li>Coordinate cross-functional teams, including suppliers, developers, QA, and business users. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of experience as an IT/CSV Analyst or IT Project Manager, preferably in the life sciences or healthcare industry. </li><li>Strong understanding of application lifecycle management and support best practices. </li><li>Familiarity with Computer Systems Validation (CSV) processes, including authoring and reviewing validation documentation (e.g., URS, IQ, OQ, PQ). </li><li>Experience with Medical Affairs systems (e.g., medical information, CRM, content management) is a plus. </li><li>Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet) and business analysis techniques. </li><li>Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Experience with GxP or validated systems in a regulated environment. </li><li>Familiarity with data privacy and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR). </li><li>Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall. </li></ul>
