<p>The Purpose of your role as a BA Installation Specialist</p> <p>As a BA Installation Specialist 1, you will assemble, plan, route, install, and repair wiring and other electrical components and equipment necessary to install engineered building automation and security systems.</p> <p>Electrical Wiring/Installation:</p> <ul> <li>Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring and equipment based on job specifications and local codes </li><li>Connect wires to electrical components as needed for a complete and operational system. </li><li>Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring or equipment using testing devices, such as ohmmeters or voltmeters to ensure compatibility and safety of system. </li><li>Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as ammeters. </li><li>Place conduit, pipes, or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes </li><li>Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment </li><li>Responsible for personal and team safety on jobs. </li><li>Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring or equipment using hand tools or power tools </li></ul> <p>Documentation</p> <ul> <li>May assist with preparing completed job as-built documentation. </li><li>Completes and submits labor and expense reports and paperwork in a timely, complete and accurate manner. </li></ul> <p>Material and Equipment</p> <ul> <li>Maintains assigned equipment and literature </li><li>If company vehicle is provided - maintains vehicle and inventory on vehicle necessary for efficient job completion. </li><li>May monitor assigned jobs for changes in materials or equipment and notify supervisor. </li><li>May provide job material requests to supervisor as they are needed. </li></ul> <p>Project Planning</p> <ul> <li>Examines project plans, specifications and submittal documentation then reviews with Project Manager to get a complete project understanding. </li><li>Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes. </li></ul> <p>Other</p> <ul> <li>Maintains basic product knowledge, procedures and methods, and continuously learns more advanced product applications. </li><li>Responsible for staying up to date on company installation standards, safety training and current building codes as they pertain to scope of work. </li><li>Manages own backlog to ensure timely and accurate job completion.
