<p>Responsibilities</p> <p>The Shipping Technician is responsible for the accurate packing and distribution of medications, and record keeping related to patient information and company records.</p> <p>Essential Functions and Work Responsibilities</p> <p>Primary Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Orders and counts stock of shipping supplies. </li><li>Accurately packs all items in each order according to procedure. </li><li>Accurately ships each order to the appropriate address so that it arrives at the appropriate time at the correct destination. </li><li>Receives and stores incoming supplies, verifies quantities against invoices, and informs supervisors of stock needs or shortages. </li><li>Delivers, or prepares and stages for delivery, pharmaceutical supplies and drugs. </li></ul> <p>Secondary Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Assists pharmacy technicians with the receipt of inventory. </li></ul> <p>This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, efforts, or working conditions associated with the position. Associate's degree is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Work Experience and Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience in shipping, pharmacy experience is preferred. </li><li>PTCB National Certification is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Other Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to communicate effectively and professionally through written, verbal, and interpersonal skills as applied when interacting with employees, clients, or agency representatives; successfully conveying and exchanging information in a positive manner </li><li>Proficient with MS Office Suite. </li><li>Excellent typing/data entry accuracy with good speed. </li><li>Good computer skills to navigate proprietary and other pharmacy software. </li><li>Can compile, code, categorize, calculate and verify data. </li><li>Can count, measure and weigh Rx components. </li><li>Strong listening/reading comprehension. </li><li>Strong mathematical and analytical skills. </li><li>Can multi-task and handle multiple priorities without sacrificing quality. </li><li>Requires standing and/or walking for most of the shift. </li><li>Regularly lifts office and clinical supplies weighing up to five pounds; occasionally lifts or carries up to thirty pounds. May occasionally push/pull when unpacking supplies. Climbs step stool to access supply or filing shelves. Bends when unpacking supplies, filing or retrieving charts and files.
