<p>DC MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - 1st SHIFT</p> <p>REPORTS TO: MAINTENANCE & SAFETY MANAGER</p> <p>STATUS: NON-EXEMPT</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Boot Barn is where community comes first. This position will also be responsible for all minor repairs and management of the maintenance/facilities issues including, but not limited to; all warehouse equipment, trucks, conveyors, compactors as well as general property issues.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ensure warehouse meets or exceeds all safety requirements as set forth by OSHA and/or the Company; oversee all safety procedures and practices </li><li>Partner with key business partners to ensure the warehouse facility meets all OSHA and company requirements </li><li>Maintain up to date necessary certifications in warehouse equipment not limited to: Forklift, conveyor belt, commercial vehicle etc. </li><li>Inspect building/racking structure and determine if repairs are needed </li><li>Train employees on all warehouse equipment </li><li>Maintain clean, safe work areas throughout Distribution Center </li><li>Train and ensure compliance with all safety practices/procedures throughout the Distribution Center </li><li>Ensure all Fire Extinguisher service schedules are up to date, and that all Fire exits are clear from pallets, product or debris </li><li>Conduct quarterly safety training with staff </li><li>Maintain vendor relationships </li><li>Repair or coordinate repair of all material handling equipment (conveyor, compactor, drives, motors, put-to-light, etc.) in compliance with the work order policy </li><li>Keep/maintain preventative maintenance records on all equipment </li><li>Ensure all vending machines are stocked and work properly </li><li>Manage badge entry system, including maintenance as well as issuing/removing users from company list </li><li>Partner with leadership to conduct necessary training courses and/or meetings to comply with all OSHA and/or Company safety changes in regulations </li><li>Assist construction department as needed </li><li>Responsible for the preventative maintenance on all company vehicles </li></ul> <p>Additional Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management </li><li>Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance </li><li>Adheres to all Company Policies & Procedures and Safety Regulations </li><li>Adheres to local, state and federal laws </li><li>Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management </li><li>Understands and complies with all company rules and regulations </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism with all vendors </li><li>Ability to work with computers and programs such as MS Office, MS Excel </li><li>Must have some general electrical knowledge </li><li>Must have the ability to learn/understand how new mechanical devices function with a capacity to bridge this knowledge into practical management of this equipment </li><li>3-5 years light construction/facilities/ warehouse experience </li><li>Valid class C drivers license </li><li>Understands and complies with all company and departmental rules and regulations </li><li>Demonstrates the ability to operate all warehouse equipment.
