<p>Position Title: Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) Administrator</p> <p>Classification: Exempt</p> <p>Reports To: Academic Manager</p> <p>Shift Needed: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.</p> <p>Pay: $18.49/hr</p> <p>Position Description</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Responsible for recording and calculating students' TABE information and ensuring that the students' TABE information is recorded accurately and in compliance with</p> <p>government, corporate, and management directives. Coordinates the center's student scheduling and academic folder systems.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ol> <li> <p>Ensures all TABE information is recorded accurately to authenticate accurate learning gains.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors the TABE testing schedule.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops the follow-up test schedule and identifies the students who have not taken the required</p> </li></ol> <p>TABE test.</p> <ol start="4"> <li>Maintains weekly list of students needing follow-up testing, using follow-up testing roster </li></ol> <p>generated by Center Information System (CIS)/Student Testing System (STS). (Must provide a</p> <p>minimum of 60 hours of instruction by a certified teacher before administering a follow-up test.)</p> <ol start="5"> <li> <p>Manages the behavior and incentive system for TABE, including recording in the CIS.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures necessary reasonable accommodations are made in accordance with the STS generated accommodations module.</p> </li><li> <p>Creates a plan for students receiving extended time to ensure they have a reasonable amount of</p> </li></ol> <p>time to complete the test within the same day.</p> <ol start="8"> <li>Maintains accountability of TABE materials and ensures the security of such materials at all </li></ol> <p>times.</p> <ol start="9"> <li> <p>Models, mentors, and monitors the positive normative culture of the center.</p> </li><li> <p>Acts as a responsible custodian for the assigned center property.</p> </li><li> <p>Reports violations of ethical behavior.</p> </li><li> <p>Suggests opportunities for continuous operational improvement and reduction of waste.</p> </li><li> <p>Identifies and reports environmental health and safety concerns.</p> </li></ol> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential</p> <p>functions.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Required Education & Experience</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent</p> <p>Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) preferred</p> <p>Teaching, counseling, and/or assessment background preferred</p> <p>Experience in test administration/scoring and implementation of testing accommodations preferred Certifications/Competencies</p> <p>Willingness and ability to complete the annual training required and to adhere to all procedures and protocols for administering TABE 11/12 tests to the Job Corps students</p> <p>Mastery of customer service skills</p> <p>Unquestionable integrity; reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented character</p> <p>Age of at least 21 years</p> <p>Ability to read, write, speak, and understand fluent English</p> <p>Ability to manage a large group Ability to promote Career Success Standards (CSS) by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students when necessary, and monitoring positive and negative behaviors through interventions</p> <p>Strong organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills</p> <p>Computer proficiency</p> <p>Minimum Eligibility Qualifications</p> <p>If position requires driving, a valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record is required.</p> <p>I-9 documentation required to verify authorization to work in the United States</p> <p>Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.</p> <p>Additional Information Other Duties This job description is not a comprehensive listing of all duties or responsibilities that are required for this position and may be updated.
